The project consists of the re-design and rebuild of the existing balconies. With close to 100 balconies closed off to the residents, there was an urgent need for a total redesign with increased weatherproofing and an updated stormwater strategy.
Detailed design went through a rigorous process, with the inclusion of innovative materials and thorough coordination between the consulting team. An existing large residential development with close to 200 apartments, made the rebuild a complex process where everyday life had to be impacted as little as possible.
A smooth construction process saw the completion of new balconies without any setbacks and the residents now enjoy the outdoor areas they were missing.
